For magazines, do you prefer saddle stitch or perfect binding?

The "perfect" one is great for text only, but once you include pictures, that are spread over both sides at once, the "saddle" one is far too superior, since you don't have to force the pages apart to view them.
@LukeAlmighty I hate perfect binding. But I got chided by @xue for using it in issue one. Perfect binding machines aren't that expensive but I'm really hoping I'm not in some tiny minority that prefers saddle stitching to it.

I bought manga only once.
It was first deathnote. Perfect binding...
The pages started to fall off during my first read. never again
