Sometimes I worry about the collateral damage of us ragging on dead-eggers, because it may actually be much more damage than we want to cause to the very targets who least deserve it.

The 43 yo journo roastie can shrug off a dancing sans gif, she doesn’t even register the thought through her benzo hypnotism anyway, and what little damage is dealt can be addressed with a few compliment fishing tweets.

But an earnest girl dealt a bum hand in the fertility game can’t. Just looking in from the sidelines, unarmored and unprepared for the mockery, she takes 3 times the mental damage the journo does because she’s thinking all those “no eggs” barbs also apply to her.

Just something to watch out for. If your moms, sisters, cousins, aunts, etc. have had struggles carrying a pregnancy to term, it might be compassionate to leave the “eggless” insult in the ammo rack for a truly deserving target when in their company, it’s not worth the splash damage for your own

I heard a colleague sad, that it took her 2 years to get preggers. It was heartbreaking.

But she didn't start trying at 19. So, how can I call her a bad target? She was the exact person the meme was about.

@LukeAlmighty I’m talking about the women firmly on our side already, like when a sister is weird and depressed and everyone callously harps on her to grow up…..without knowing her and her hubby have been trying for a year and she just had her second miscarriage.

You could be sitting next to her at christmas mocking the 37 yo roastiejourno talking about fertility treatments, but she’ll take every word you say and feel like it’s directed at her. She’ll soak every barb and and insult and think you surely would say the same about her if you knew how ‘broken’ she is.

Man, I seriously hope you're not talking from an experience there.
