I am not fat, I am taking reparations for thousands of years of starving ancestors.

@yangwenli
Also, I did a serious mistake, when I fell for the "bulking" advice.

@LukeAlmighty isnt that a thing body builders do? If you dont move much or do much exercise all you can really do is just cut down on calories. And only eating veggies with no potatoes is the fastest, most healthy way.

Yes, I wanted to get in shape, and of course the clear advice is: Get fat first :D

@LukeAlmighty well I know a guy who was fat first and then became a muscle man so you could ask him. He is proof it works: @Kagekokoro
But his workout is probably very very frequent and he just never stopped doing it
@LukeAlmighty @yangwenli @LukeAlmighty uh... why am I tagged here? Im very confused right now
I am not the muscle man you are talking about... am i?

@yangwenli @Kagekokoro
Yes. My problem is, that losing weight is the most de-motivating hard shit I've seen since university study. It might be easy for some, but I've been strougling for years now.

I am working on it, and I will try your advice.

@LukeAlmighty @Kagekokoro if the veggies make you depressed add some spices. That usually does the trick for me
@LukeAlmighty @yangwenli @LukeAlmighty
Absolutely agree, nothing like a little chilli flakes to make the veggies both less boring and better metabolically speaking.
Eating chilli at night will help your metabolism speed up a little, thus easing the weight loss
@LukeAlmighty @LukeAlmighty @yangwenli
Its only demotivating when you dont get results, if you weigh yourself once a week and see the weight going down slowly but surely, it motivates the heck out of anybody, not to mention that at some point you will start to see the change and notice clothes fitting different
@LukeAlmighty @LukeAlmighty @yangwenli @Kagekokoro
Have you tried any sort of limited fasting yet?
Like only eat in the afternoon or eat for one day and then fast for 2 or 3?
Works for some people since it's hard to cram a caloric surplus into that short a timeframe.
@LukeAlmighty @special-boy @yangwenli @LukeAlmighty i would not recommend that approach, its not really sustainable for most people, I would think it better to count calories and slowly develop a feel for the caloric density of food
@LukeAlmighty @Kagekokoro @yangwenli @LukeAlmighty
I do the only eat between 12 and 18 thing and it's not hard at all.
But I have decent impulse control, good metabolism and no real reason outside of generally being annoyed at breakfast.
@LukeAlmighty @special-boy @yangwenli @LukeAlmighty fasting would not work for my lifestyle
I know it works (of course it does, you are basically restricting the amount of calories you eat) but its not sustainable (if done extremely, like with the 2 days fast example) and can seriously fuck up your metabolism long term
@LukeAlmighty @yangwenli @Kagekokoro I had good success with red light therapy and the leptin reset stuff, from this thread back in November

My appetite reduced significantly, to the point where I was unable to finish meals.
