@blobfrog Strike is a base right of every employee. A work contract is me trading my body and time in exchange for money.
The problem became once, the trade got generalized to a permanent status. Once I am not a contractor but a worker, and the employer has to pay when I am sick etc, and he cannot just fire me on spot, then not working does become kinda asshole move.

@blobfrog I don't think that anwsers my question though. Aside from african slaves, where you CAN be tortured for not working... Do you have any example of a western modern condition, that goes against that right?
