Affluent youth have a taste for luxury goods, a penchant to live their best lives just like the glamour boys and girls they see online, and the capital gains to pay for it. A heartening sign that we still have some vitality left in us.

People that young should be saving for rising kids. All that spending means one thing. They had already given up.
@LukeAlmighty My point, which apparently flew right over your head, is that they at least aspire en masse to be *something* better than what they are. Even that is not something that can be taken for granted in today's world, where lockdown practically shoved "lay down and rot" as a way of life down everyone's throats, where dystopian futures are taken for granted as inevitable by mainstream culture, and where legions who have swallowed "the black pill" embrace their miserable fate.
