It's not even that racist. One of the highest people in the empire is a fucking Chiss. Who got there on merrit alone.
Empire will not treat you badly, until you get to a Wookie levels of uncivilized. And wookies refuse to speak Basic even with all of the aviable technologies.

All I'm saying is, that despite being only ,2 percent of galactic population, wookies are responsible for 80 percent of ripped off hands.
