I remember watching Back to the Future as a kid with my dad, and there was one joke, that he absolutely loved.

He always said, that Japanese used to make the most shitty stuff, but with years of mass production, they got to the level, where they could be the best.
And he warned me, that china will reach the same level in a few decades... FUCK!!!
@LukeAlmighty China should have reached that level already, if they followed Japan's pace. They can still do it, but there are a handful of reasons why they might not.

China currently has some of the best and the worst. There's no industry standards there, so they can pump out straight garbage, but they also have the manufacturing ability to pump out quality, so if a company sets a high standard for their manufacturing, they can produce quality.
