Another day, another press release assault telling you it’s totally your fault that you’re single, ignoring the drastic shifts in the dating market that are out of your control.

More competitive and cutthroat than ever before, but they’ll trot out the same terrible “well if giving it 90% wasn’t enough, give it 100% And if that doesn’t work, GIVE IT 110%!!!!!“ advice you get from out of touch boomers living in 1965

I can only really speak for the few young women I know, but there are plenty of issues w/ guys their age. The guys predominately blow time on gaming, they retreat from all interaction, and they’re tremendously flakey on showing up to social events. They almost all put all their eggs in the “go home and boot up the console to get on VC with the bro’s” basket. And that doesn’t hit the girls right.

Also difficult is the overall malaise, weakness, the lack of sexual charge. Dealing with a girl should be energetic, life-giving in a sense. The fun, exciting interplay, the natural give and take of flirtation. That’s been beaten out of everyone for decades now, so guys don’t even know how to do it. They just have bland, boring conversations with a girl then ask for her number. YAWN.

There are still girls out there just waiting for you to find them, they just aren’t highly visible (they’re hiding just like you) and you’re gonna have to be an older sort of man to pull it off. Need to be able to be funny, and confident, comfortable with yourself and able to lead the room when you walk in. All those are things your grandfather picked up along the way - they’re more doable than you think at first blush.

Yeah... jokes cannot get into the conversation, until rape accusations and random outbursts of feminist lore are absolutely out of the question though.

Also: What social events? I don't even remember there actually being anything like a social event that I could attend. :omegalul:
