“TRUTH” ACCORDING TO THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD IS NOT BASED ON CONSENSUS, you have been lied to. It is based on PREDICTIVE VALIDITY which means that you forumulate a theory that explains an observation, and then came up with a hypothesis to test that theory, and if your hypothesis is proven correct, it shows that you must have some kind of understanding of the underlying mechanisms which therefore validates your theory.
Nowhere, anywhere in the process, does consensus come in. Again, YOU HAVE BEEN LIED TO.
