To be fair, from what I understand, nutrition is one hell of a field when it comes to doing a proper research.
@LukeAlmighty @Moto_Chagatai The test subjects must be pretty Obese from being fed so much food from the Nutritionists that they couldn't tell if it raised or lowered diabetes.

The problems are that:
1) There are always 9000 different factors working on/in the body
2) You cannot isolate factors, since people live their lives.
3) The most avaiable method is self report, and that one is useless.
4) You cannot isolate for a total of food per time period either with a very few exceptions.

There was a beautiful website, that listed all research papers for each food and if it cures or causes cancer. Obviously, most foods did both.
Sadly, google is fucking retarded, so I can no longer find it.
