@ArdainianRight I think it’s more that Monolith wanted it out of the door as soon as it was done so they can work on other projects. Both this and the base game had a really conservative release date that was then bought forward by several months when they were actually done. It doesn’t really make sense to just sit on a finished product until a convenient time.

@VD15 Which is exactly what they did with Advance Wars, except they dumped it at a not-so-convenient time.

@ArdainianRight @VD15 Advance Wars was initially delayed because of the Ukraine war, and it apparently being inappropriate to enjoy a war game while an actual war (that the media cares about) was happening. Then, when it became clear that the war wasn't ending for several years, they just went Fuck It.
