@caekislove @nozaki i like the collective brain damage a lot of people got in 2016
@qwerty @nozaki It was bad. Many haven't even begun recovering yet. Some will be broken for life.
@caekislove @nozaki @qwerty I know people hate my heads I win, tails you lose polls, but I love directing them at leftists. Asking them "is it okay to deny/doubt presidential elections?" is perfect. An example is attached
@NEETzsche @nozaki @qwerty Doubting Presidential election results has always been a Democrat thing until 2020. Literally the same people scolding Fox News for claiming that computer voting machines were hollering from the rooftops in 2000 and 2004 that rigged computer voting machines handed the election to Bush (they did, by the way).
@dew_the_dew @NEETzsche @nozaki @qwerty Okay, let's do recounts until I get the result I want now STOP THE RECOUNTS any further recounts will imperil democracy or something 🙄
@caekislove @nozaki @dew_the_dew @qwerty I remember in 2020 they were insisting the election was legit because they did recounts and the results came up basically the same. It was a deliberate diversion from the fact that they just stuffed the ballots in the first place with mail in bullshit voting.
I don't think there's anything worth debating when it comes to this kind of "look they're hypocrites" kind of thing. They'll just post more cope. It's more fun to say things that are humiliating, like "you're only mad because Facebook boomers we able to unintentionally take the capitol in an hour while leftists couldn't burn down a courthouse despite rioting for months"
It just feels pointless to argue when you don't have any power, so depending on how spiteful I'm feeling I generally just want to humiliate people.
@nozaki @caekislove @dew_the_dew @qwerty I can't speak for you, but I hold the power of life and of death. Literally any American with $200 and no criminal record holds this power. I don't care that it's fedposting, I legitimately think that it's well past time for us to start walking around with our chests out acting like we get to just decide how things are going to be, or else.
I'm talking more about institutional power, but I see where you're going. I'm lamenting how slow and frustrating things are without power in politics. We're all isolated and stuck trying to build little enclaves.
@nozaki @caekislove @dew_the_dew @qwerty well, we don't have institutional power, but we do have cultural power believe it or not. And if you combine cultural power with the willingness to use force you get something that is politically relevant if not electorally relevant. See, people hear "politics" and they think offices, they think elections, occasionally they think appointments, but they don't really think culture. Culture is like half of politics at a minimum.

And interestingly enough it is the weakest part of leftism. Leftists don't really have culture. They have effective attacks on our culture, whether it be our religious culture, our secular entertainment culture, our professional culture, and so on, but they don't really have culture of their own. BLM, Pride, etc, these are their efforts at creating a culture of their own and they have no staying power without the institutional support that they have.

We, on the other hand, are a humongous knot in their hair by culture alone. Consider for a minute that 30% of the population never got covax, and they pulled out all the stops over that; they literally threatened people's livelihoods over this one and it still didn't work. Consider for a minute that random shit posters on 4chan create massive national fiascos on a whim by typing "IT'S OKAY TO BE WHITE" and using their home printer. Consider for a minute how 40% of the population thinks our elections are rigged. Consider that this Pride Month shit is seeing a direct, bottom up correction by people who change tires for a living.

They are expert infiltrators, but we won the culture war. We won it. It's ours.

Yeah.
While all the open discrimination in workplace or in law might be unbelievably discouraging, when I listen to people who aren't 45yo single working women, any signs of wokeness are pretty much gone. (Obviously, different country)

And it makes them unable to do any rushed move anymore. Another example would be ironically enough Disney. They are losing 10s of millions per year, and it's getting worse with every single mean post we make. So, the culture war is in fact a real factor.
