I have 2 questions
1) What religion is against costumes?
2) Why are so many people claiming to be religious while simultaneously doing all they can to shit on the rules they follow?

His friends are real bros though, and I am a bit jealous.

@LukeAlmighty Jehovah's Witness maybe? I think my friend's parents were and he wasn't allowed to do shit. Had to make a small candy bag for him after Halloween because he couldn't come with us

Yeah JW's are a no fun allowed club. They can't even celebrate their own birthday. Most people I knew who grew up with JW parents ended ujp heavily resenting them and the religion after becoming adults.

Whenever I think of JW's this video comes to mind

Jehovah’s Witness and certain interpretations of Islam mainly of a Salafi bent

are you not familiar with judaism? the entire religion is a game of trying to obey the rules while working around them in comically stupid ways. see the eruv around manhattan.

@grey
I am not sure what does the last sentence mean, but Judaism is kinda half of the reason I asked.

the eruv is a single wire that runs all around manhattan making it "indoors" according to judiasm, allowing orthodox jews to operate there "without going outside". much of judiasm is filled with this kind of following the letter, but violating the the spirit of the law.
