Isn't there in Bible some sort of a patryarchical authority figure that knows what's best for you?

I mean so the entire start of the bible is about how things when to shit when man tried to be their own gods. After Christ, God pretty much abandoned any ties to any nation. Any "Caesar" only has authority relative to god.
