Rubber banding and button mashing are literally the worst combination of mechanics ever put to a game.
Change my mind.
@LukeAlmighty i mean admittedly without rubberbanding racing games would be too easy
but in nfs underground 1 and 2, especially in 1, it's implemented terribly when it outright forces you to drive perfectly or else you lose

I said a combination of mechanics.
Rubberbanding is bad, but when you combine it with button mashing, you are just fucked.

Not necessarily in a racing game, but this combination was for instance in the Yakuza zero, I was unable to win a single cat fight.
I had watched guides, did all the "correct decisionson", but once the button mashing part came in, I was unable to get it right even once.
@LukeAlmighty the catfight club is utterly rigged, yeah, i think it's completely fine to install a mod that makes one specific girl always be powerful and have a great day so you don't waste your time on it, there's more important stuff like mahjong to learn to do properly
