Meanwhile the commenters are busy demonstrating their indipendent thinking by accusing the whole scientific community of being biased, while megacorpos bankroll climate-change denialism.
But I guess it doesn't count as brainwash when it's a private company that tells them they don't have to do anything.

@moffintosh
It's simple.
As long as we're turning nuclear powerplants off, it's hard to take anything else seriously.
@moffintosh
Yes, I agree. So, why do all the activists keep on talking about solar and wind shit instead?
Also, yeah... it's sad, but until the "just stop oil" idiots get any support from the common man, noone will be able to take the warming seriously.
So, why do all the activists keep on talking about solar and wind shit instead?
Talking about those per se isn't necessarly a problem, in part because nuclear has it's own list of issues. The real problem is when those are presented as a complete alternative to fossil and nuclear, which alone aren't
the "just stop oil" idiots
Weren't they funded by the daugther of an oil executive?

Possibly.
I'm not even trying to argue. I agree with you on the topic, that global warming needs to be looked at, but the current messaging around the topic is so awful, that taking it seriously is more about bending the knee to the (((unnamed group))), then about solving the issue.
@moffintosh
BTW, this is what ecology looks like in EU right now...
A plastic cap on a plastic bottle... But you have to rip it out yourself, instead of it being ripped by itself while the bottle is being opened.
WOW 🤩 Such ecology :D
