Really adding to my inbuilt loathing for psychedelics/drug users lately. Keep running into these dumbass hippie wannabe thinkers and they just disgust me in a very odd, rare way.
See, they love to acquire beliefs, but never keep them. Every trip yields a totally new version of subtly carnal feel-gooderism, a new spin on living entirely for themselves and wallowing in hedonism without ever acting on their deep feelings of goodwill for their fellow man. And acting on your ideology is always the hardest part.
I think that’s why this whole Church of Generic Goodness® is so common in small media aimed at young men. They want you thinking that Satan doesn’t exist, that God is ‘nothing, but like, everything”, that “we’re all just monkeys man, we’re ALL divine and we’re all just poop filled puppets!”
They want you lost, and blinded. I used to think the scariest form of spiritual esclavitude was the physical addiction to the carnal. Pleasures can’t dull your senses, can’t keep your heart’s compass spinning forever. Even in the throes of addiction you know it’s all amiss, you can feel you aren’t living right even when your blood is filled with fuzzy pleasure.
This new front, the wholesale pursuit of this pan-religious, chemically-generated spirituality terrifies me, because these poor retards really think their compass points to true north - but it’s actually slowly, imperceptibly spinning every second of the day.

They are in a perpetural child-like state, with each day restarting their jurney.
I get how that would feel peaceful, but it takes time to actually build character/belief.
So, I totally agree. It's so sad to see them, since you know, that while they do believe something "fully", that is only, because they didn't have time to actually think.
They just need to sit, and listen to their thoughts... for an hour a day... for the next decade.
And maybe... Then they will be back in a state worth talking to.
