Hate the holiday work season, TBH.

Constantly vascillating between the desperate grind for more money (stabilizing and building the family) and taking time off to feel guilty around everyone for not having a family already.

I feel bad no matter what I do.

Hard to decide whether it would be better to have lived without the educational diversions of my 20's - I learned much from them, and created the self I have today. If I'd done things the "right" way I'd be a proto-boomer, asleep at the wheel with a cozy career job and plenty of comfort...probably married to one of my lesser exes and dealing with the genetic-level cuntiness they pass down to our kids.

Ugh, holiday sentimentality.

Don't let your pain define you. Once you become proud of your pain, it becomes hard to reject it once the good opportunity to get rid of it arises.
