@LukeAlmighty @mcread It's been the story of my life that Germans living in the early to mid-20th century were afflicted by extreme levels of self-destructive fanaticism since many of the things they're accused doing of make no logical sense, especially when any context (which makes the allies look bad) is stripped away.
