i trained an ai on an artist that only posts pixel art, then told the ai to render something similar in his art style but NOT pixel art
the results obviously ain't perfect but the fact that this works at all is cool as hell. you could probably do something like this with old videogame art to approximately reverse it into high-res images

@LukeAlmighty the techniques they're using in that video are ancient and outdated by ai standards, glad to see someone's working on it. with some of the new enhancements to sdxl it should be possible to get 60fps out of most old games
