my take on this is that if you end up being a parent of something that threatens your safety and mental stability on a daily basis you can be legally authorized to put it in an institution and never see it again.

this is an example of severely autistic kid who's (also) aggressive towards the mother.

Nah. In this case, you're dealing with a wild chimpanzee. The fact, that it has a face of a reasonable being doesn't mean, that it can develop beyond that phase.
I hate the fact, that these kinds of parents are born with near-unlimited ammmount of patience. Because it's all invested into a dead project.
In such cases, abortion is the only option. The kid won't survive without mom anyway, and she cannot survive like this.
