I don't think I'm gonna finish Elden Ring. It's just not that interesting. It's essentially "easy" because it's all just ultimately a single player grind-fest. Too hard? Just level up. Maybe you random get the meta weapon, or maybe you look up the meta build. It ultimately destroys any sense of accomplishment or difficulty.

The most fun I had in the game is when I opened a treasure chest at the beginning and teleported to the hard-ass zone. Then I fought my way back to the start without realizing I could fast travel.

I think the very concept of the "meta" has destroyed gayming. And I play games where you really need to learn the "meta" in order to even come close to competing, so. There you go.

This made for instance card games absolutely unplayable.

You never know, if you're playing against human, or a 230IQ excel sheet, that got shared to half of the players. And I don't even want to find out.
