I guess that makes sense.
The video just looks, like the entire separation was just the cover that was raised by the hammer.

@LukeAlmighty @vitalis That's the cover that is protecting the fine grained "ignition powder" from rain and wind. Under the cover is where you put the fine grain powder, whereas the main charge is put down the barrel from the front.
@LukeAlmighty @vitalis Before the invention of the modern cartridge, there was a brief period where only the ignition powder was replaced by a percussion cap.
@LukeAlmighty @vitalis Kinda. It's just small enough to form a "fuse" of fine grained black powder when poured directly on it.
