@mushroom_soup Why the hell are so many people attempting to reason a woman into experiencing an emotion her body does not produce?

like this is a process that doesn't work, performed on a subject that it wouldn't work on, and you think this is a good use of time?
@All_bonesJones >'zog is not on your side, the police are not on your side'
>'errmm suicidal empathy much?'
@All_bonesJones you are the ones with misplaced empathy, you would rather empathize with the boot than point out when someone was murdered
@All_bonesJones don't be intentionally obtuse. just admit that you do in fact like big government and being tread on as long as you agree with the government in question
@mushroom_soup what i said was "trying to convince her to change her opinion is a waste of time, here's why"

you're not engaging with what i said; you're arguing with ghosts in your own head
@All_bonesJones you think the reason i'm arguing this is because i empathize with the guy who was shot. i've explained that i don't actually care about him but that i think it's objectively bad for the police to execute an unarmed person. instead of actually engaging with my point you just pivot to 'oh she's just a woman with suicidal empathy' which is very disingenuous and tells me you're not as emotionally detached as you would like to put on
@mushroom_soup ok sure i'm deeply invested in this you caught me

anyway you're demonstrating the underlined part here and why this is a waste of time for everyone involved
@mushroom_soup they feel they are right because they are experiencing an emotion you can't feel and the emotion feels true

you feel they are wrong because you don't feel that emotion and therefore don't understand that it feels true to them, therefore they are wrong because it feels wrong to you

all reasoning in that thread is poc-hoc rationalizations of people feeling or not feeling that emotion
@All_bonesJones ah so we agree that men are in fact driven by their emotions. i'm not saying i don't understand the fact that they feel that way, i'm asking them to put aside their emotions and look at the situation from a logical perspective (facts don't care about your feelings as people love to say). that so many men on here are unable to put aside their emotional response to this situation tells me that if anything they might be more emotional than the 'emotional' woman they're talking to

My feelings don't care about your facts.

You guys are literally trying to debate morality. Morality is a subset of feelings. If you feel like employment is slavery by definition (for example), no amount of lawfare or legal frameworks will change it.
