Since the Mixtape had yet again proved my previous thoughts on this topic correct, I ask you once again to celebrate the true spirit of gaming:

Please, share this thread, and reply with a list of games, that excel in the thing that make gaming more special then any other media. Share games with the deepest or most innocavative/emergent gameplay.

Here are games that come to my mind:
X4 foundations:
This game the ultimate universe sandbox. Several empires all run their entire economies in order to lead wars, and in this running universe, you build your own place up from a single insignificant ship, up to an entire empire.

Factorio:
If I had to describe the joy of autism to anyone, Factorio would be the game I would use to ilustrate it. A game, where you have to build up the complex mechanisms from ground up, and where your factory grows up to the capacity of your own brain :D

Roark's Attack on Titan Fan Game:
If you ever wondered, just how entertaining the movement mechanics themselves can get, here is your anwser. After playing this game, no spiderman game will ever feel immersive to you anymore.

And last, just to not be a total hipster... Legent of Zelda Tears of the kingdom:
This might be the first time, I have seen a mainstream game fully embrace the emergent gameplay formula. So, it does deserve a huge resoect even if the game had nothing else to offer. But man, it does have a lot more to offer.

Kenshi
You want to be a oned legged hobo murder robot go ahead. You want to raise an army of attach dogs, do it. Sure its jank, but its the indie jank that is fun and not gay.

EDF 5
The entire series besides a couple titles post EDF 5 are absolutely great single or multiplayer B horror movie shitpost shooters. The writing in them is fantastic and while the gameplay and weapon systems leave some to be desired sometimes, its more than made up for with its charms.
Brogue: In this trad roguelike, you are what you equip and use. There are no classes, no skill trees, no grinding experience points, only a potion that increases your strength stat, a potion that increases your health pool as a side-effect of healing, and a scroll that enchants (improves) your items. Builds are always improvised, based on what you find along the way and what items you choose to keep and improve. All items of a kind are unidentified at first, and finding out what they do may prove painful, wasteful, or both. The levels are riddled with hidden doors and traps, environment that burns or explodes, locked away treasure rooms, and the deeper you delve, the easier it is to fall through the floor among other things. ASCII graphics have never looked this good. You can adopt a tentacled horror as a pet. The game's perfect for what it is.

Shogun Showdown: A short, run-based game of turn-based combat where you battle waves of enemies with predictable and limited movement and attack patterns, telegraphed clearly and upfront. The play area is small and one-dimensional. The core idea is to not get hit and to kill efficiently. Where you stand and where you're facing all matter, as does the order in which you queue your attack patterns and when you launch them. The game makes you feel like a martial arts movie character and hitless runs on higher difficulties are beautiful to behold.
