The only mistake Subverse did was tying all the adult scenes to a singular character unlock, instead of making them tied to story beats.

This way, the game feels insanely grindy. Buy only, because you don't see the scenes as a reward. They are dumped onto you at once, and you unlock only the few ones you know you want.

What a shame, but they really did break one of the most essential part of the formula, since without it, you have to unlock the entire new character to get any meaningful reward.
