I just gotta get ripped and hide my jpop CDs. Ezpz
@igeljaeger Agree. You should rip your jpop CDs and share them with the world.
@igeljaeger I've never in my life seen such a disorganized mess. Are you trying to traumatize me or something?

I know my own music library is far from perfect, but at least I categorize things by author and album wherever I can.
@alyx you want me to sit down for a week and categorize my library? Sorry but I download to listen, not to sort.
@alyx I mostly just sort by year in rhythmbox and thats all I need most of the time. Well and author can be sorted after too. Most of these are CD rips with everything in them to sort with any music software
@igeljaeger Well... If they've good all their tags, that's something at least. I can easily work with that. foobar2000 has a nice Copy To feature that can autocreate folders based on tags. It's small things like this, that make life easy, why I love this player.
@alyx not really tags but alright. I dont really get why youd need extra folder either
@alyx not all are. Since some are from youtube. But most are like this
@igeljaeger Remind me to teach you some day how to get the raw 192kbps AAC file from Youtube, without shitty online converters.
@alyx I rarely use youtube as a source. Pls I dont need audio autism in addition to software and anime autism Im GOOD
@igeljaeger But software and anime 'tism get bored all alone. They need more 'tism friends to play with.
Follow

@alyx @igeljaeger Furry 'tism? Roblox 'tism? Crippling social anxiety 'tism where the only time you go outside is to go trainspotting while slowly falling further and further into a pit of your own depression and isolation?

@VD15 @alyx audiotism would already throw me into a pit of depression while trying to sort over 2700 songs into individual folders

@igeljaeger @alyx No, that's obsessive-compulsive 'tism. Different thing.

@VD15 @alyx uuuh yeah, whatever it is. I dont have it and am pretty glad about that
@igeljaeger
Well I have it, and I won't rest until everybody in the world has it too... muahahahaha...
@VD15

@igeljaeger @alyx Bruh, if there's a song in your music library isn't tagged like a fucking NHentai entry, you going about life wrong.

@VD15
At a point I was literally obsessing over adding lyrincs in my music tags. So yeah...
@igeljaeger
@igeljaeger
Yeah, it was some time ago, when I only had about 10k songs. Maybe less.
@VD15
@alyx @VD15 this whole "over 10k songs" isnt really fathonable to me. I'd probably have to dig through 90s and 2000s jpop artists for that. And that sounds very annoying
@igeljaeger
Yeah, but understand that I'm talking about my entire library of music that I've accumulated over 20 years. And just my regular, normie, stuff can get autistic as hell. Between my Nightwish, Linkin Park and ATB I already have almost 1000 songs.
@VD15
@alyx @VD15 I was never big into music before my jap stuff. Listened to some metal here and there but thats about it
@igeljaeger
As long as I had a PC, music has always took up at least a tenth of my hard drive space. And as I got bigger drives over time, my collection also grew.
@VD15
@igeljaeger
Also, 2700 songs is just my weeb shit. My complete form has almost 20k songs.
@VD15
@alyx @VD15 your weeb shit was far from that. It was pretty standard tbh

@igeljaeger @alyx how do you two have over 10x the number of songs I do? Maybe it's just because I listen to fairly obscure genres but can you even name like half of the songs in your library?

@VD15 @alyx every song in my MEGA folder I have listened to multiple times. I never add music I dont like
@VD15
Not really, no. But I do manage to recognize most of them if I hear them somewhere else. Like I'll be, "I know this song too well. I probably have it in my library".
@igeljaeger

@alyx @igeljaeger I kinda want to branch out to different artists but my usual method of going through collab albums and listening to the entire body of work from each artist is mad effort.
