Apple products are just fancy jewelry with circuit boards in them. It's a fashion statement and nothing more. Saying you only want the iPhone means you're willing to spend over a $1k for a $300 phone. this is why apple prefers to make small devices like the Apple card, apple watch, and the iPhone. The iPod without rock-box is nothing more than a waste of money. Can't even play doom or use literally any music software other than iTunes. You're just paying way too much for a sub-par experience because of a brand. If you want to use a device that looks like an iPhone but have a much better price, there's literally hundreds of companies that will make a similar experience and fit and finish for way less. Xiaomi, Huawei, and many others.


Unless you have a reason for owning an apple product like "It was a gift" then you're not that smart.
