How do I make pacman go faster? I've been updating packages for like 15 minutes...

My default mirror was France, which was pretty fast for me. But it might not have been the case for you.

Try running:
sudo pacman-mirrors --fasttrack && sudo pacman -Syyu
It should speed test all available mirrors and keep the fastest ones.
Make sure to backup /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
