Apple is switching to ARM for their laptops.
I wonder how this will affect ARM PC market. I mean, Apple devices aren't niche compared to 3.5 Windows laptops and useless Chromebooks. If they show it's possible to make good ARM based laptops, maybe others will do more serious products.

So they're screwing over their consumers by making all their old software useless... again?
@alyx is this a problem for Apple ecosystem? They already having their developers in slavery, so they will do whatever Apple says them to do.

Well, they did this once already, when they went from PowerPC to Intel. So we know they can manage it. It remains to see how their consumers will feel about the move, if and how many of them are willing to rebuy the same software.
