What originally attracted me to the furry community was the promise of a beautiful positivity and joi de vivre where everyone can just be happy and play and love one another without limits. It was a disappointment to immediately learn it not only came with the usual human baggage but it amplified it.

It probably did have all of that initially. But then they got political, and in a really bad way. And I'm sure you've seen the result much better than me.

@alyx @SteveTheDragon i thnk a good 98 percent of my interactions with others over the course of my life were people only fucking with me. Which turned me into the bitter asshole you see today.
@alyx @SteveTheDragon the silver lining to all of this is ultimately i think getting raped by a horse dick without any lube by society happens to everyone and i can now relate to people a little better than my previous self, which was a pretty annoying sheltered brat that lived in a box of their own delusions.
