Just skimmed through the article initially and though "how horrible!".
Watched the video... that's not how a person sounds when he literally can't breath (as the article makes it sound). Don't get me wrong, his breathing is definitely heavier than normal. But if they're trying to make it sound like the police officer asphyxiated him, I don't believe it tbh.

@alyx i dont know man doesnt look so,just by seeing the vid after all the n igga died

@11112011
Sure he died, but for all I know the nigga had a heart attack. They're making it sounds like the nigga was in pristine health, and he died because he was completely restricted and prevented from breathing. And what I'm seeing is that while he is having difficulties breathing, it's not bad enough to asphyxiate him.
When someone is actually trying to cut off your air, you're not even able to speak. Talking is in itself a sign that there's a good amount of air going in and out of your lungs.

@alyx all this is fine,you could just lift him and get him to the car right?

@11112011
I'm not saying there might not be problems with how this was handled. There might very well be excessive force here. I don't know what the guy did. I don't know what the cops were waiting for. All I have is an 1 minute video and the word of a news organization I have no reason to trust. How would I even know the thing lasted 8 minutes, when I'm only presented 1?

What I can tell for now, is that they're trying to put one of the worst possible spins imaginable, they're trying to say the police officer asphyxiated a man to death, and the evidence is far from conclusive. As far as I can tell, they're purposefully trying to rally up a mob. And I don't like that one bit.
I mean, come the fuck on, there's a difference between "police officer used excessive force" and "police officer strangled a man to death". One of these will trigger demands for investigation, and the other will trigger mob justice.

@alyx yea the spin is going on true,however cant be argued something was not right, its bee reported at least 12 times he said cant breath plz,and there were witness's it seems, so we'll see

@11112011
I want this investigated too. Not disagreeing there. I just hate the narratives designed to stock up police hatred and race conflict, and it makes me not give a crap anymore that the nigga died, because my brain just automatically goes to "it's just propaganda again". And let's not even mention the countless cases where the media tried to defend the nigga, and make him look like a saint, and then we find out that the nigga was 100% guilty.

@alyx the nigga cant be a saint, something he did,now if the cop was the cause of death he was wrong in is course of action, all the rest is crap th spins the narratives all that

@11112011
Here's the problem though:
- if the cop is guilty for his death, and no media spin, the guy get's sanctioned, fired from police force.
- guilty or not + media spin, the guy gets fired, gets harassed for months if not years, unable to get a job, maybe even kills himself.

@alyx i dont disagree,what you want me to say those images on the vid are cool?,let cops kill niggas?

Don't give into the hate mob mentality. Let investigations develop by themselves. Don't stoke up things by sharing the shame cropped video and incomplete story over and over again. And actually get yourself informed on the things that the media DOESN'T tell you. Look up how many people that are not niggas that get excessive forced by police. And wait for all the information to come in before making up your mind. I'm still not sure what happened with the last casualty the media was focused on before this, and you've already made up your mind about this one.
