Fun fact: being able to talk requires you being able to physically breath.

The real issue that guy had wasn't that he couldn't breath, it was that his heart couldn't pump enough oxygenated blood throughout his body. But a person suffering from something like this will just feel like he can't get enough air, or that he can't breath, even if he is actually taking in a normal amount of air in with each breath.
