Force people to say the words associated with the ideology, so that even if they don't initially agree with it, they slowly get used to them through repetition until they no longer complain. And this shit sticks around for a long time once it gets put in place. Older people in my town, still call a certain street "Lenin street", even if it has been renamed to something else decades ago.
