I can enjoy the game while watching videos or a stream, or something like that. Works great for turn based games, or games you play almost automatically (like doing a Baal run in Diablo 2).

I've noticed it generally works a bit better for retro games that don't assault your senses as much as modern games. I still long for the era when you didn't need to make items and loot drops shiny for the player to see them. For those sort of games you can still have enough attention to spare where you can have something else playing in the background.
I don't expect it to work with everyone though, but you can give it a try.
@alyx I could see that: casual games + basic tv. My ADD doesn't quite work that way I guess. I should give it a try though ... maybe Oxyd in dos box with Bob's Burgers going
