I personally haven't had any issues with Manjaro, and I've been far more pleased with it than with the Ubuntu flavors I've used in the past. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Nvidia part would be problematic. I've been lucky enough to have had an AMD GPU when I made the transition from Windows. So these few years have been a blessing for me.
