@alyx the bot part is true, but as far as i'm aware they're always bought by the users themselves to increase traffic. but afaik twitter as a company has nothing to do with it and there's no "fictional social media project"

I don't know what "fictional social media project" is supposed to mean, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out in a few years that twitter is/was doing social experiments on it's users like facebook did.
Do we have proof of twitter as a company being involved in anything so far? No. But users would do well to remain vigilant, cause plenty of fucked up shit has already happened on these platforms.
@alyx either way, my point is that it was from a fake article and people believed it, twitter does a lot of fishy things but this isn't one of them
