Probably because businesses still need phones on which you can talk all day without worrying about battery life or if you've got good signal. So landline phones are still gonna be a thing for now. And seeing how important calls are transitioning to Zoom, Whatsapp, Skype, and who knows what else, a niche was created for this weird atrocity.
