there aren't any better ones worth the investment within the budget
new keyboard? quinn used to like collecting new keyboards: they are either boring or are 350$+ and i already have a kinesis so fuck paying 400$ for another keyboard seriously

You eliminated the keyboard as an option, but what about a new mouse?
Another possibility, to complement the new monitor idea, how about a good set of headphones/speakers (depending on how you prefer to listen to things).

@fluffy @alyx its a wonderful machine. only real downside is the function keys paint isn't laminate, so the lettering has faded off some keys.
it still blows the open source keyboards out of the water UX-wise. can remap on the fly, or hit a key to mount memory as a text file and edit your macros there.
there are no curved keywells outside of that, the maltron and the dactyl.
