We call them Magyar over here, not Hungarians. But no, I'm not that. Not Roma either.

That's what they use for themselves. I'm not one to ask them why. 
And as far as I can tell, this has been the used and accepted terminology for a long time. Much longer than the switch from Gypsy to Roma.
