From the people I've heard, they barely even coughed, but the lungs still came out weird after it. Like it had scars or something everywhere inside. From what I understand, lungs should be mostly transparent in scans, and his were kinda white.
@alyx huh, weird
@emilis
Yup. This is kinda why I'm concerned about this thing. The symptoms can be really strange and there's a very wide range of possibilities. And the worst part is, that regardless of the symptoms you can see and feel, it can still fuck up your internal organs and weaken your health without you realizing.
My biggest fear is that people that went through this, and indeed survived just fine, could possibly be left with scars that leave them vulnerable to other diseases for the rest of their life.
I know it's probably an unfounded fear... but still. That's my concern.
@emilis
Which is also why I get mad as hell at people saying "but over 99% survive it", because they seem to be ignorant that there might be long term consequences after you survived.
@alyx yeah, that’ll be a “good luck” unless they can do it over the phone I think. I’ve heard from other people that unless ur in really hot shit, that’s the most you can get from the NHS rn. My only “lung” symptom was the coughing, though. No loss of taste, no breathlessness. So, idk.
