@Stellar @alyx I clearly remember LGBTQ YouTube asking bi people to stop define themselves as bi bc it was transphobic and required them to start id as pans. It really didn't land though. Also I still don't get what difference they see between pans and bis because they say all the time that bis can be attracted to trans, nonbinary and other non cis people, idk its really mental gymnastic

It's a mental gymnastics brought upon by the critical theorists that want to deconstruct everything. You can't have someone call themselves "bisexual" because it reinforces the idea that sex/gender is a binary. It's language policing for the sake of ideology.
