I've had countless headaches over the years. Even had one yesterday. Haven't found one yet that I'd describe as "icepick", but sinus headaches come pretty close.

Is your nose still blocked? It could actually be a sinus headache. What worked better for me for those is a combination of paracetamol and aspirin while keeping the area warm.
@alyx normally i'd agree with you but it was EXTREMELY sharply painful, much more than any other sinus headache i've ever had before
