You know what else bugs me, maybe even infuriates me? Why doesn't the article mention anything about the girl's friends, play group, kindergarten, the other children she has regular contact with? Children are children, and they'll soak up and try to emulate everything around them. Does she even have other girls around her to play with?
I've got a small nephew, I don't get to spend much time with him, but I do hear interesting stories. Like how for a while he was the only boy in his kindergarten group. How even at home, his only playmate among neighbors was a girl. Guess what, one day the little rascal decided he liked the dresses all those girls wore and wanted to try it too. Eventually my brother got him something that was still made for boys, but looked enough like a dress to satisfy his boy's curiosity. They kept telling him he's a boy still, and after a short while the phase had passed.
