welcome to grumbling as to why we don't use more of IPFS or BitTorrent than we do.
just thinking about how stuff like please.build supports signed remote downloads but we don't see a lot of "download this content hash and check the sig" its like, "download this magic github url."

@icedquinn I'm curious how similar Syncthing is to the torrent protocol. They have a similar setup, in that clients use a central server to discover each other, but actual traffic just goes peer to peer.
ipfs is basically bittorrent that always uses dht IIRC
