Oh yes, it's real. What I find the weirdest is that they can't hear the inner voice even when reading. All I can think about is: how do you even silently read?! How does that even work for you?!

@alyx @coolboymew @Lumeinshin They could still can read by using purely visual input. In fact, most of the “speed reading” methods work by voluntarily silencing the inner voice while reading.
