@GNUxeava@alyx What's wrong with RAM caching? If it's not being used, caching does nothing but speed up processes and is immediately freed upon being needed by another process.
There is literally no reason to disable RAM caching.
@GNUxeava@alyx@inference i think you're supposed to be able to have provisionally allocated pages that the OS is free to turf but i don't remember how these actually work in linux.
its possible i'm just remembering something that never existed again.
