Tim Pool mentions the fediverse every once in a while, and tries to explain it in pretty simple terms to various guests. But thing is, not one of them has ever heard of it, and not one of them seems any bit convinced. 
@alyx It's not useful unless someone on his team sets up a timcast pleroma/mastodon server like NoAgenda has done. You gotta show what you're talking about ... does Pool even have any fedi accounts?

I know he said he wants to build a couple of projects that would work on ActivityPub (basically not use the existing instance softwares, but create something new), but I haven't heard him presenting anything yet. If he has an instance (first time I heard of this), it's likely nothing more than a test.
