See, that's the shit that should be outright illegal. Punishable by death. I'm just lucky that I don't have many Type-C devices, and what I do have are just fine with 2.0 speeds.
Thunderbolt is Intel shit, so I don't think USB 4 is EXACTLY the same thing, but they do probably have mostly the same features.

Just make sure that type-c cable you're using isn't 2.0. lol
Type-C is also used for USB 4.0 but from my understanding usb 4.0 is basically just thunderbolt 3
