Trying out this form of typing on a touch screen that has you just scribble your finger on the keyboard without picking it up to tap individual letters, it's weird but I'm impressed by it's ability to understand what my random finger flailing means

You mean swype typing? It's as good as the dictionary behind the keyboard.
It sucks the second you want to type a word that it hasn't heard about. Otherwise, it's very fast.
